Name: Stormtide flood extent categories Sept 2012

Display Field: Short_description_of_severity_indicator

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: This dataset delineates the Sunshine Coast region storm tide flood extents considering the storm tide height over HAT (highest astronomical tide) based on current climate, which are classified according to the predetermined numeric severity identifiers. This is a snapshot of September 2012. There is no overlapping feature in the data. The numeric identifiers are designed according to the feature containment principle, i.e., greater flood extent should cover other lesser extents. This should be taken into account when querying the data (whole HAT plus 2000 mm extent is aggregation of the extent itself together with HAT plus 1000 mm and HAT plus 500 mm, so the query should be [INDICATOR]<=3, assuming the numeric code 3 corresponds to HAT plus 2000 mm extent).
