History - For golf courses, the address of the feature was sourced from the Queensland Golf Union Website. The address was then used to identify the Lot/Plan description in the DCDB that formed the extent of the feature. The features were validated against current orthophotography and satellite imagery and modified where the spatial accuracy of the DCDB was outside 25k topographic data specifications.

10 seats, 10 stories, 10 parks…
Sunshine Coast Council have designed and constructed 10 innovative Story Seats, located in 10 of the Coast’s most stunning local parks, and have incorporated 10 fabulous children’s stories into the seats’ designs.
These eye-catching pieces of art have been purpose-built with the intention to promote the importance of reading with your child and offer spaces that actively encourage you to talk, read, sing and play with your child every day.
Story Seats have been funded by First 5 Forever, a Queensland State Government funded universal family literacy program aimed at supporting strong language and literacy environments for young children from 0–5 years and their families.

Description: A representation of Not for Profit Groups in the Sunshine Coast region, as recorded in the SCC, Not for Profit (NFP) Database. The NFP database is administered by Jane Goodwin and Grantley Switzer on a frequent basis therefore, this dataset will be timestamped at 14/10/2014. The purpose of this layer is the visualisation of the NFP groups in their geographic setting. Each recorded NFP group is represented by a point. It is important to note however, that groups are recorded in the database by only lotplan (land parcel) description. This means, the points represent only a generalised location for each NFP group - as points were randomly located within the nominated lotplan. Other variations affecting point accuracy do exist; examples include NFP groups that operate over a large area (they occupy a larger area than a point suggests), or groups registered to a PO Box (they are represented by a point on the post office land parcel). Viewing scale: Data cannot be viewed any closer than 1:4,512 or further out than 1:144,448.Updates: As advised by the Data Custodian(Manager of Community Facilities and Planning).
